Conventional Railings

The Conventional Railings or Pallet Racking, are the heavy product´s storage system indicated to support pallets.

Use

The distribution is processed, generally, through one access lateral racks and double access centrals. The separation between them, as the respective height, depend on the forklifts´ characteristics, or load lifting devices, and the height of the warehouse.

The pallets are normally manipulated by the narrower side, since the construction of Europallets (800 x 1.200mm) type pallets incorporates the three inferior skids oriented to the 1.200mm side, and these should support themselves perpendicularly to the support beams.

Sometimes, specially to favour operations, the pallets are manipulated by its wider side, 1200 mm. in this case, the racks need elements that allow the correct support of the pallets (support beams or brackets).

The bottom of the rack is determinated in function of the pallet´s dimension. For an Europallet with a depth of 1.200 mm, the bottom of the rack will normally be of 1.100 mm.

Advantages

  • Eases the merchandise removal, since it´s possible to access each pallet directly without the need to move or shift the other pallets.
  • Perfect stock management, since each space represents a pallet.

Maxim adaptability to any type of load, in weight as in volume

COMPONENTS AND COMPLEMENTS

DOUBLE DEEP

To store a greater number of pallets, and depending on the weight and number of pallets by reference, it´s possible to install double bottom racks, that allow storing a pallet in front of another in each side of the aisle.

It´s only possible to have direct access to the first pallets, wherefore this system is only recommended for products with many pallets by reference, to avoid increasing the operation time by double movements.

This system will need suitable lifting machines, with double bottom telescopic forks

CORRIDOR

To define the minimum free space between loads, it´s necessary to know the forklift´s type and model. This data can be found in the forklift´s technical files.

BEAMS

The beams are the horizontal and resistant elements of the racks over which the loads are deposited. They bind to the pilars by connectors or clamps that fit the beam´s slots.

In the union system, the ledges of these connectors are united to the main body by both extremities, what allows a considerably increase in the load capability and avoids the deformations that are produced when the superior and inferior parts aren´t united to the clamp´s or the connector´s body. This way, the risk of a beam falling is avoided, what could happen if the beam started to open as a result of a continuous usage. Each beam has two safety triggers incorporated that avoid an eventual accidental fall.

The measures of the load levels are defined by number and dimensions of the pallets to be stored.

PILLAR- RACK PROTECTION

The protections have a height of 400 mm and include 4 bushings for its fixation to the ground.

These are used for anti-shock protection or against possible damage to the pillars of the installations in which forklifts circulate.

LATERAL PROTECTION PILLAR REINFORCEMENT

Protects laterally the inferior part of the rack. Usually it´s placed on the edge racks and on the corridors where shocks happen more frequently.
